Drop In

Our drop in sessions are on

  • Wednesday 1-4pm  [Social media centre]
  • Thursday 1-4 [Social Media Centre]

You can access the full range of our facilities in this time and take on Blogging, Radio production, Video making and digital photography. Or you might want to come in and ask us some questions about what you could do with us.

At the Social Media centre  drop in there are normally other people around needing some help too,  you'll propably need to be a bit proficient at computers so you don't get stuck. Ideally on a level to be able to do email or simple wordprocessing.

Working Class Movement Library by Salford LIDS

It's a Library, but there's a long history of how the Working Class Movement Library got started, and eventually moved into its home on Salford Crescent. Even more strange, students from Salford University decided to write a play about it. Along the way, they found out stuff they didn't know.

Timebank

A bank with NO money, what good is that? you may ask
And I will tell you, The best kind of bank,
Some body had a good idea of banking TIME
The members of this bank are there for one another,
With what skills have they to share, the time you give
By helping is given back to you by others helping you
To do the jobs you can’t manage yourself,

Blog of the Working Class Movement Library

We are proud to announce a new blog in Salford. According to the authors of the Blog:

" This blog is the random jottings of the staff and volunteers at the Working Class Movement Library in Salford. We tell you about what we have been doing, what we intend to do, whether we actually did what we intended to do or whether we did something else instead.

Feel free to leave us your comments, but be aware that they are moderated and any ‘colourful' language will be edited out."
