Gardening for the disabled at Kersal Vale Allotments

Kersal Vale Allotments on Littleton Road, Now have a greenhouse specifically for use by the disabled. I went along to have a look around and find out more....

Kersal Vale Allotments Annual Horticultural Show

On August the 21st the third annual horticultural show took place at Kersal Vale Allotments. I arrived to be met by two marquees packed full with the most amazing array of vegetables, Jams plants, fancy show pigeons and flowers – All of which were grown or looked after lovingly by the gardeners themselves at their allotments on the site.

Mike stood at the side of the road

Sew Sow

Sew Sow at the energise. The group of about 12 people meet to quilt and sew and share skills and ideas with each other. The gathering is informal and is open to both inexperienced and skilled sewers. The group meet twice each month at St Sebastians on douglass green, the centre is bus stop adjecent. For those who need it child care can be provided by big steps playgroup.

Gemini

A support group for older people, with a varied programme of activities and speakers. The group meets the first Thursday in every month, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at St Sebastians.
